Ratafia de Champagne is a delicacy traditionally produced in Champagne by growers for their consumption.
It is made by blending freshly pressed grape Juice (musts) with Marc de Champagne and/or eaux de vie.
It will feature nicely in a “connoisseur” aperitif and will pair perfectly with a dessert.

“A deliciously complex, sweet wine that makes a superb alternative to Tawny Port.”

The nose shows many layers of complexity, from candied citrus fruit and apple strudel to raisin and honeycomb. The palate does not disappoint, continuing to evoke a rich array of dried fruit flavours along with pecans and hazelnuts, balanced beautifully by a vibrant acidity. The finish is long and ever-evolving. Utterly delicious!

Food pairing:
This is an extremely versatile wine that can work as an aperitif, paired with a foie gras starter or at the end of a meal as a digestif. A classic pairing would be blue cheese or a rich chocolate dessert.
